Experience the Blancco DifferenceWe have partnered with Blancco Technology Group to provide organizations with the software tools they need to enable sustainable data sanitization processes across laptops, servers, loose drives and more.
By focusing on erasing and reusing assets instead of physically destroying them, organizations can improve their security posture and address corporate social responsibility requirements, while also ensuring compliance with local and global data privacy requirements. Blancco data erasure solutions have been tested, certified, approved and recommended by 15+ governing bodies and leading organizations around the world. No other data erasure software can boast this level of compliance. All Blancco erasures are verified and certified, resulting in a tamper-proof audit trail. Physical Destruction vs Secure Data Erasure
Degaussing may be the cheapest and easiest form of physical destruction for drives. However, degaussing removes data by reducing or eliminating unwanted magnetic fields. But, because SSDs don’t store data magnetically, degaussing does not achieve data sanitization.
Physically shredding SSDs can also be an issue because of shred size. The U.S. National Security Agency recommends a shred width of 2mm or smaller to break through the small memory chips and securely remove the data. Most standard industrial shredders produce much larger fragments — leaving information behind.
